          The theme "ENVIRONMENT" is very broad and complex and is at the forefront of the best engineering projects. However, we can not embrace completely this broad topic, so, and in order to provide extremely appropriate solutions, PML AMBIENTAL established that its main business focus is the development of projects for "Efficient Constructions".

 

          Constructions have a significant impact on the environment, both during the work while running, as after their conclusion. A green construction is an integrated set of strategies from the land use, passing by the architectural design and construction itself which reduces the environmental impact that in this study we call "Efficient Constructions".

 

 

The benefits of an Efficient Construction includes:

 

• Lower power consumption,

• Lower water consumption,

• Protection of ecosystems and

• More health for occupants.

 

          Greater relevance factors must be considered not only in the preparation of projects, but also in the effective use of a building. The importance of interdisciplinarity in the construction project, use and maintenance of the building.

 

          One must consider the alternative technology solutions and energy from natural sources and renewable forms of reuse and reutilization of resources, as well as how you can perform the verification, measuring and monitoring of the efficiency of a building.

 

          Due to the scarcity of natural resources, the project, combined with the proper use of buildings and the recycling of products and wastes generated, are major factors in order to allow the rational use of these resources.

 

          By doing so, it reduces environmental impacts and ensures the quality of life for present and future generations.

 

          For each project must demonstrate how energy efficiency works to the economic feasibility of the construction of efficient buildings and how the proposed investments return for the enterprise.

FOCUS: “EFFICIENT CONSTRUCTIONS”

 

 

          The Efficient Construcion, also called Sustainable Construction, seeks the interaction between the human being and the environment.

 

          This fact assumes great importance, since the civil construction is an economic activity with adverse effects on the environment, as it contributes to the depletion of natural resources, energy consumption, air pollution and the creation of residues.

 

          After RIO 92, a movement called "sustainable building" was started, which was strengthened by targeting the increase of environmental opportunities for future generations, consisting of a modern environmental strategy, directed to the production of safer and healthier constructions, based on:

  • Pollution reduction;
     

  • Energy and water saving;
     

  • Minimizing the release of hazardous materials into the environment;
     

  • Decrease of consumption pressure on natural raw materials and;
     

  • Improvement of safety and health of workers, end-users and the general community.
